Measurement where the line has none

Many escapes start at a station that tests whether a part works but never measures its shape. We add the measurement there. Every reading becomes evidence tied to the unit, the station and the moment.

The gap

Most stations check that a part works, not how it was made

Tested, not measured

A functional test says the part works today. It says nothing about whether a pin is bent or a dimension is drifting toward its limit.

Sampled, not per unit

Dimensional checks happen on a sample, off the line. The units in between carry no measurement at all.

Read, then lost

Where a bench does measure, the reading often stays on that bench. Nobody can trace it to the unit later.

A quality decision is only as good as the measurement behind it. Where the line has none, we add one.

From reading to record

Every reading becomes evidence

A gauge doesn’t just show a pass or fail on a screen. Each reading goes into Quorum Substrate with the unit it belongs to, the station, the moment and the conditions, so anyone can trace it later.

The device lines

Built as one platform

Every device shares the same optics, edge computing, calibration method and software, and feeds the same record. Each gauge head computes on its own, so one failure never stops the other stations.

Available

Precision gauging

Vision-based dimensional measurement and smart cameras for in-line checks: position, dimension and presence, on every unit.

Next

Part identity

Code reading and marking so each part carries its own ID, plus simple industrial sensors for the state of a station.

Later

Advanced measurement

3D measurement, precision metrology and digital microscopy, built as customers need them.

Designed in-house

We design the devices, the software and the calibration method. Manufacturing is contracted.

Why identity matters

Per-unit evidence needs a per-unit identity, and many plants don’t have one yet. Mark it, read it, record it.

Where it fits

Connectors and terminals, stamped and machined parts, and EV battery assembly.

Fitting the line

How a gauge goes in

On the existing bench, without pausing production.

01

Study the line

What each station tests, what it misses, its cycle time, and where escapes have come from.

02

Design the fixture

A fixture and optics for the part family, so every unit is presented the same way.

03

Calibrate

Calibrated against reference parts using our own calibration method, the same across every device.

04

Measure every unit

Within the station’s cycle time. Each reading enters the record with its unit, station and moment.

Start with what you have

Not every station needs a new device. Where a bench or plant system already measures, Substrate reads it and checks it against what the line produced.

Show us the station that lets escapes through.

We’ll look at what it tests, what it misses, and what a measurement there would catch.
